THE AUCKLAND SHOW.

PLANS WELL ADVANCED. WIDE RANGE OF ATTRACTIONS. "All arrangements for Auckland's Autumn Show are being advanced successfully," said Mr. W. I*. O'Donnell, secretary of the Agricultural and Pastoral Association, at a meeting of the council yesterday. He reported that the special attractions would include riding competitions on both days of the show, February 26 and 27, and a grand military and naval demonstration, steer-riding and sheep dog trials, on People's Day. Further attractions were being arranged. A letter was received from the Governor-General's secretary, advising that His Excellency regretted that the necessity for his presence in Wellington during tlio session of Parliament would prevent his attending the show. It was decided to instruct the judges to this effect. It was reported that the following judges had accepted nomination:— Draught horses, Mr. J. Malcolm; shoeing, Mr. J. Lyons; Jersey cattle, Mr. 11.
