SEVERE ELECTRIC SHOCK.

ACCIDENT TO LINESMAN. CONTACT WITH LIVE WIRE. A fairly severe electric shock was received last evening by a post and telegraph linesman, Mr. Reginald Burnett, aged 40, of 5, Graham Street, City. While working at the top of a pole neir the Sandringham tram terminus, he cams into contact with a live wire of high voltage. He was able to maintain his hold on the cross-pole until fellowworkers had a ladder in position.

Mr. Burnett then attempted to descend the had climbed down only a few rungs when he collapsed and fell. He was taken by St. John Ambulance to the Auckland Hospital. His condition late last evening was reported to be not serious.
