NOTICES TO' THE STAFF. TERMINATION OF SERVICE'.. As a. result of the Government's taking over the control o£ radio broadcasting in New Zealand from the end of the year, the 69 men and women permanently, employed ' at the four stations controlled by the Radio Broadcasting Company of New Zealand, Limited, have received notice ot the termination of their engagement, tlw notice taking effect from December 31. The secretary to the Post and Telegraph Department, Mr. G. McNamarn, has suggested that all those desirous of being re-employed should make formal application for the consideration of the Broadcasting Board as soon as it is. eppointed. , Air. A. R. Harris, general manager of the Broadcasting Company, stated in an interview in Christchurch that the notices were purely formal, as the company will automatically. go out of business on December 31, when the new board will take over the service. In regard to re-engagement, he understood that as many of the staff as possible would be taken oyer by the new board, and had. in fact," received an invitation from the secretary to the Post and Telegraph Department suggesting that all those desirous of re-employment should- apply for the consideration of the board, immediately the Government had had time to complete its -
