WAIKATO ASSOCIATION. SATISFACTORY YEAR REVIEWED. [from our own correspondent.] HAMILTON, Thursday. A satisfactory year's working was reviewed in the report of the Waikato Cricket Association, presented at the annual meeting a-t Hamilton last evening. The chairman of the management committee, Mr. R. Johnston, junr., presided over a good attendance. v In commenting on the report and balancebheet, the chairman said the fact that the association now held the Hawke Cup meant that it was probably the strongest of all the minor associations in New Zealand. In spite of the fact that heavy commitments had to be met in ground upkeep and obtaining Port Albert soil, the association had wound up the year with money in hand and practically no liabilities. It was decided to recommend to the incoming management committee to commence the competitions as early as possible, in view of the forthcoming Hawke Cup fixtures. Forsler; secretary, Mr. W. H. Allen; auditor, Mr. T. Ewan; official umpire, Mr. 11. W. Forster. THE TE AWAMUTU CLUB. [FRO.'iI OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE AWAMUTU, Thursday. The annual meeting of the Te Awamutu Clicked Club was held on Tuesday evening, Mir. M. Barnett presiding over a good attendance of both Wednesday and Saturday players. The club's team won the Waipa Association's championship cup last season, playing thirteen games, winning twelve and drawing the other. The. chairman said the season's record was a mosit meritorious one. _He hoped there would be just as keen an interest displayed this season. . It was decided to enter a team in the Waipa Association's competition again this season. The election of officers resulted:—Patron, Mr. C. G. Downes; president. Dr. J. B. Rusden and W. Shepherd.
