AROHANUI GIRL GUIDES.
BAZAAR AND CONCERT.
Carlton Hall, Sandringham. was a j scene of bright festivity recently when | the Arohanui Girl Guides held their j bazaar and concert. Tho bazaar was j opened hy Mrs. Coates, divisional comj missioner, who was presented with a I posy of violets by tho youngest Guide. | Phyllis Bow. During the afternoon I pianoforte duets and solos were played i by the Brownies. 1 At the concert, in the evening a seleci tion of interesting items was given. Duri ing the first half of the programme the j plav " P»ter Fan " was presented by I the Guides and Cinders. Ihe parts of j " Peter Pan " and Mr. and Mrs. ! Darling " were taken by tho three j Guiders, 0. M. Marks, K. N. Johnston I and D. K. Guy, respectively, while " Wendy " was splendidly played by Guide Meryl Harvey. The other characI ters were well interpreted by the Guides, j The second half included clog and folk j dances, a minuet, songs and recitations j by the Guiders and Guides. Tho enter- | tainment was brought t,o a close by the j singing of two songs by the whole com- ; pany. As a result of the Guides' efforts the sum of £22 was realised.
