The Postmaster-General wrote that a ) departmental report had been called for | with respect to the request that a central i post office for Birkenhead should be cstabr lished at Highbury. Replying to the council's objection to the exclusion of (lie Helensvillo Town Board from the contributing bodies to the maintenance of the Auck- • land War Memorial Museum. the Institute Council stated this exemption was not introduced with its consent, and further, the council had instructed its solicitor to oppose the amendment, on the ground that no additional charge should be levied against the other contributing local bodies without their consent and ; approval.
