OBITUARY.
MR. ALEXANDER CRABB. LONDON, June It, 'I lie death has occurred of Mr. Alexander Crabb, secretary to the High Commissioner for New Zealand, Sir Thomas Wilford. Mr. Alexander Crabb was appointed official secretary to the High Commissioner in succession to Mr. T. E. Donne in 1923. He was a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, and was formerly on the veterinary staff of the New Zealand Government. Later he was transferred to London as veterinary officer in the High Commissioner's Office. Mr. Crabb was awarded the C.M.G. last J a nuary. LORD WENLOCK. LONDON, Juno It. The death has occurred of tho Rev. Algernon George Lawley, fifth Baron Wenlock, aged 73. Algernon George Lawley succeeded his brother the fourth Lord Wenlock in 1918. He was born in 1857, and was at Eton and Cambridge University. Ho was ordained in 1881, and was at the Eton Mission, Hackney Wick, and later rector of St. John at. Hackney for 14 years. From 1907 to 1923 he was a prebendary in St. Paul's Cathedral, and his last incumbency was at Stoke St. Milburgh. Lord Wcrdock, who was an honorary chaplain to King Georgo, married in 1896 Miss May Ethel Donaldson, daughter of the lato Sir Stuart Donaldson, vice-presi-dent, of the first Executive Council of New South Wales. He had no children, and is succeeded to tho title by his brother, Sir Arthur Lawley, formerly Governor of Western Australia, and late LieutenantGovernor of the Transvaal and Governor of Madras.
