LABOUR PARTY CANDIDATE

Official advico received yesterday by Mr. F. E. Martin, secretary of the Auckland branch of tlio Labour Party, from the national executive in Wellington confirmed tlio selection of Mr. J. A. Lee as the Labour Party candidato in Grey Lvnn at the general election. A ballot was held in January, when Mr. Leo defeated Mr. F. N. Bartram, a former member for Grey Lynn, but his success was nullified owing to on informality. Another ballot was hold on May 20. In Grey Lynn, Mr. Bartram was unseated by Mr. J. S. I'letchcr at the last general election.
