BELMONT WINTER SHOW.
The annual winter exhibition and show connected with the Belmont Presbyterian Church was held on Saturday at the church hall. The Mayor of Takapuna, Mr. J. Ouiniven, who was introduced by the Rev. S. J. Atkins, opened the function and spoke of the high standard of the exhibits. The judges in the various sections were:—Miss Walsh, Mrs. Mcßride, Mrs. Knaggs, Mrs. Cambridge and Mr. Creamer. The programme was continued in the evening, when novel competitions and entertainments were arranged. Pol-' lowing were the prize winners in the various sections:—Preserves and pickles, Mrs. Rickerby, Miss Hill, Mrs. McDonald, Miss Collett, Mrs. Spooner, Mrs. Tweedie and Mrs. Bond; sewing and handicraft, Miss M. Spooner, Mrs. Schultz, Mrs. R. Hepburn, Mrs. Irvine, Mrs. McDonald, Miss Jean Thompson, Mrs. R. Kessell; home cookery, Mrs. Kessell, Mrs. Ogalvie, Mrs. /Schultz, Mrs. Kay, Mrs. Bond, Mrs. Phillips, Miss Delnia Schultz, Mrs. McCarthy, Miss Tui Coulthard.
