KUMEU TENNIS BALL.
The Kumeu Hall presented a gay scene last week, when the Tennis Club held one of its attractive dances in aid of the new court funds. Coloured streamers made colourful decorations, and music was supplied by Mr. J. Clarke and his novelty orchestra, old-time as well as modern dancing being thoroughly enjoyed. Supper was served by the ladies' committee and a successful evening was enjoyed by all. Among those present were: —Mrs. Cyril Nicholls, Mrs. C. llanlon, Mrs. J. Maunsell, Mrs. J. Clarke, Mrs. Alan Armistead, Mrs. L. Hamblin, Mrs. J. Orme, Mrs. I. Owtram, Miss Laura Barnes, Miss Gladys Orme, Miss B. Marchand, Miss E. Barnes, Miss Ina Harrison, Miss L. Goodall, Miss Joyce Gooding, Miss Phyllis Petford, Miss Betty Shuttleworth, Miss Shirley Gooding,, Miss W. Hugill, Miss J. Marchand, Miss Kathleen Petford, Miss Lesley Bell, Miss T. Dane, Miss M.
