UNITED POLITICAL PARTY.

AUCKLAND WOMEN'S LEAGUE.

Tho annual meeting of the Auckland Women's League, United Political Party, was held in the league's rooms, Pacific Buildings, last week. Addresses were given by the Hon. A. J. Stallworthy and Mr. G. C. Munns, M.P. Tho president, Mrs. von Sturmer, stated that tho past year had been most successful and expressed appreciation of the loyal support of both officers and members. During the year several remits of importance to women and children were sent to the Ministers and members. The annual report was read and adopted, general satisfaction being expressed by members.

The Hon. A. J. Stallworthy and Afr. Munns both expressed pleasure at the great progress tho league had made during tho year. Employment for women was discussed and suggestions for helping were passed to the committee to deal with. Tho harbour bridge and many other subjects of interest, to the members wero also discussed. Reports were received from the chairwoman of the electoral district and were highly satisfactory. Tho work was steadily attended to, and membership wn.s rapidly increasing. After the formation of tho committee the meeting adjourned.
