TRANSPORT BOARD WAGES.
Sir, —Surely the Transport Board must follow the order of the Court. Why should tram workers, who are well paid, be exempt while all other workers are reduced by the Court's order. It would be a fair thing at tho present time to revert to penny sec tions and do away with all concessions. Peoplo would then jump on and off cars for short rides, when the, penalty on each section is removed, and the takings would thereby be increased. The opportunity for the reduction of fares is now, and in fairness to all other workers should be inaugurated. There are many of tho silent uncomplaining class who are badly hit by hard times. It was on their behalf that Mr. Justice Frazer appealed to all employers to help, by reducing all commodities to the same level as the wages cut. Tho Transport- Board should not hesitate. It is their duly to follow the Court's direction in fairness to all classes. Nemo Dubitas.
