OHAUPO MURDER CHARGE
ACOUSED AGAIN REMANDED. QUESTION OF VENUE OF TRIAL. A further week's remand to appear at Hamilton was granted in the Police Court yesterday, when Reginald Thomas Norman •Rickards appeared on n chargo of murdering Arthur Rossiter at Kaipaki, near Ohaupo on April 10. There was a further charge of assaulting Olive May Rossiter at Tauranga on March 20. After Detective-Sergeant Kelly had asked for the remand, Mr. Sullivan, who represented Rickards, asked that, the accused should l)e. remanded to appear again in Auckland, stating that ho had been m communication with the AttorneyGeneral regarding the venue of the trial. " Arrangements have been made to hear the case in Hamilton next Wednesday. The crime was committed in the Hamilton police district," said Mr. Kelly. Tho magistrate, Mr. F. K. Hunt, stated that ho would have to grant tho remand applied for, and advised counsel to communicate again with the Attorney-General and the magistrate at Hamilton.
