SPECIAL EARTHQUAKE ISSUE. EARLY PUBLICATION ARRANGED. Replying to numeroifc -inquiries, the publishers of tho Auckland Weekly News announce the publication of a special Hawke's Bay earthquake number next Tuesday. As well as an entire account of the whole disaster, the issue will contain a large pictorial section devoted to photographs secured in the stricken area.

In addition to many startling illustrations of the awful havoc in Napier, Hastings and the whole affected district, there will be several pages showing the refugees being evacuated, the rescue and relief work, and the splendid service ren. dered by the Navy.

Copies of the issue will be on sale at the Herald Office, Queen Street, and at leading booksellers from eight o'clock on Tuesday morning. This will enable those wishing to send copies overseas to catch a direct mail by the liner Taranaki to Great Britain, Ireland and the Continentof Europe, closing at the chief post office. Auckland, at 1 p.m. on Tuesday. By this mail the postage is one penny a copy. Tliere will be no extra charge for this special issue. Copies will be available at the usual price, ninepence.
