SPORT WITH BIG FISH.

ANGLERS OFF CAPE BRETT. FINE DISPLAYS OF LEAPING. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] RUSSELL, Friday. A swordfish -was caught off Cape Brett yesterday by Mr. D. L. Baker, of London, while fishing in the launch Jean from Deep Water Cove. The fisli weighed 2361b., and broached 18 times. It took an hour to land.

Mr. J. Stellin, of Wellington, caught a striped marlin, which took 55 minutes to land. It gave a good display, broaching several times. Mr. Stellin also caught a mako shark of 3121b. This fish jumped 15ft. into the air, and took 45 minutes to land.

Mr. White-Wickham, of London, landed a mako of 2081b., when fishing from the launch Ozone.
