FRACTURES IN SPINE. PATIENT LEAVES HOSPITAL. SYDNEY. Dec. 31 The jockey Carter, who was injured in tho Penman Handicap at Tattersalls races on Saturday, left hospital on Monday against the doctor's wishes. Yesterday the X-ray photographs showed that his spina was factured in three places. The doctors say that had he collapsed while walking about it would have been the end of him.
