MAILS FROM TAHITI.

ARRIVAL IN LONDON. FAST TRIP BY VENTURA. [ill- TEI.EGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Saturday. Tho Post Office notifies the receipt of the following cablegram:— "'J he mails which left Wellington on August 12 by tho Tahiti, via San Francisco, and which owing to tho foundering of the Tahiti were transferred to the Ventura, arrived in London on September 11."

This was' tho dale on which tho mails were scheduled to arrive had nothing happened. Apparently a quick trip was made by tho Ventura, followed by a speedy transit across the States.
