NEW RHODES SCHOLAR.

MR. P. C. MINNS FAREWELLEO

At the conclusion of the service last evening at St. John the Baptist Church, Xortlicote, the congregation adjourned to the parish hall to bid farewell to Mr. P. C. Minns, New Zealand Rhodes Scholar, who will leave Auckland on Friday for England.

The vicar, Rev. F. W. Wilkes, who presided, presented Mr. Minns with a cabin trunk. Mr. C. A. Denxberry also conveyed the good wishes of the congregation for Mr. Minns' future and congratulations on his present success. In reply Mr. Minns said his years atXortlicote had been very happy. The old church at. Xortlicote would always hold a warm place in his heart.
