THE SENTENCE ON MUNN.
SHERIFF RECEIVES WARRANT. EXECUTION NEXT TUESDAY. The timo of the execution of Arthur Thomas Munn, who was sentenced to death on May 27 for (ho murder of his wife at Northcotc, has been fixed for eight o'clock on Tuesday morning. Tho sheriff, Mr. O. J. Hewlett, received tho warrant for execution, signed by tho Governor-General, yesterday morning. When he had fixed tho time ho personally informed Munn of tho fact about noon at Mount Eden gaol. Tho prisoner accepted tho news without indication of emotion.
