DOUBLE MURDER.
SORDID CASE IN FRANCE. FRENCHMAN'S REVENGE. PARTS, July IS. A sordid drama, culminating in a double murder, is reported. The central figure, Joseph Giraudot, was arrested for murder in 1926. lie escaped and obtained a position as a kitchenman. He formed a liaison v.-itII a, cook, Louise Derva ux.
After n quarrel the woman betrayed Giraudot to the police and again he was arrested, but once,more escaped.
Giraudot ascertained where Louise Dervaux was employed, went there and shot her dead. Also he mortally wounded a Chinese man servant. The murderer then surrendered to the police. He said lie intended to commit suicide, but unfair statements in the newspapers had made him reconsider that decision and instead to determine to defend his honour.
