By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received July 16. 11.15 p.m.) LONDON. July 10.

Bank rate was then 6 per cent. At the end of November, on the eve of the reduction in bank rate to per cent., £5,000,000 of bills, payable on June 30, were placed at £5 7s 6d per cent., tho effective interest, according to a statement by the Federal Treasurer being £5 lis per cent.
