FEDERAL BUDGET.
ACTION BY OPPOSITION. ADVERSE MOTION PENDING. (Received July 10, 10.45 p.m.) CANBERRA. July 16. The Opposition made its first definite move against the Budget proposals in the House of Representatives to-day. Mr. «T. G. Latham, leader of the antiGovernment forces, announced (hat ho intends to move for reconsideration of the Estimates for the purpose of reducing the expenditure by about £4,000,000, including the salaries of Ministers and members of Parliament.
