WEDDINGS.

HEMPLEMAN—GOLDSBORO. The wedding took place in St. Sepulchre's Church, Khyber Pass, on Wednesday evening, tho Rev. Draper officiating, of Sliss Ethel G-oldsboro, grand-daughlcr of Mr. and Mrs. J. Capes, of Avoudale, to Mr. Werner Hempleman, of Palmerston North and late of Auckland. The bride, who was given away by her cousin, Sir. SL McDougall, wore a frock of blush pink chiffon over crepo do chine. Tho scalloped corsage was outlined with diamante trimming and the full skirt of pink net had a panel of silver laco and fell in graceful "folds to aukle length. A bow of satin to tone was worn at ono side and finished with a cluster of orange blossoms. A hand-embroidered net veil, which formed the train, was fastened to the head with a silver band and clusters of pink orange blossom over each ear. She carried a shower bouquet of pink and white dowers. The bridesmaids, Miss Joyce Lyttle, cousin of the bride, and Miss Dorothy Hempleman, sister of the bridegroom, were dressed alike in ankle-length frocks of cyclamen georgette with bindings of blue to tone. Their hats of blue felt were caught with a diamante clasp and they, carried posies of cyclamen aud pink flowers. Little Judith Humphreys was flower cirl. Her frock of blue georgette over pink was embroidered with clusters of pink roses, and she wore a Juliet cap of the same shade, trimmed with silver leaves and pink and blue forget-me-nots. Her posy was of flowers to tone. Tho was attended by his brother, Sir. F. W. Hempleman, as best man, aud Mr. F. J Hempleman as groomsman. A reception was later held at the Domain Kiosk. Mrs. Capes received he* guests in a brown ensemble and brown felt hat. She carried a posy of violets. Sirs. Hempleman wore a navy frock and fur coat, her posy being of autumn tonings.

M UN RO—MAC AN DREW. The marriage took place in the Memorial Church at Titirangi on Wednesday of Miss lona Macandrew, only daughter of Mr. aud Mrs. A. W. Macandrew, to Mr. William Kirkland Munro. Tho church had been very charmingly decorated with bush flowers and foliage. The Rev. K. Jecks performed the ceremony, and Mr. Barry Coney played the wedding music and also sang at the reception which followed. The Lrido wore a frock of ivory satin bcaute with ankle-length skirt shirred at the waist and finished with a laco hem. The long bodice ended in scallops. She also wore her mother's wedding veil with a coronet of orange blossoms, aud carried a bouquet of orchids shading from reseda green to lilac. The bridesmaids, Miss Jean Atkinson and Miss Nancy Carruthers, wore frocks of ceil blue and champagne crepo de chine respectively, with tullo head-dresses to tone, and carried bouquets of violets and roses. Mrs. Macandrew wore a frock of black floral crepe de chine piped with pale green, a tulle scarf and black pauue velvet hat with drooping side brim. Her bouquet was of cyclamen and maidenhair fern. Mrs. Munro, mother of the bridegroom, was in blond silk georgette trimmed with silk lace and felt hat to tone. Among those present were: Mesdames Atkinson, J. J. Bishop, Bertram Nicolson, Jecks, I. Bishop, Petrie, Bayliss Jones, Tanner, John Grierson, Sister Edith, Misses Atkinson, Munro, Kirkman, Wilson, Inwood, Stronach, Amy Stevenson, Garlick, Armstrong, Eookes, Gray, L. Stevenson, Carruthers.

WEBB—SHEPHERD. The wedding took place, at St. Mary's Cathedral, Parnell, on Saturday evening of Miss Doris May Shepherd, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Shepherd, of King's View Road Mount Eden, to Mr. Eric G. Webb, only son of Mr. and Mrs. George K. Webb, of Auckland. Canon Fancourt officiated' and Mr. Randal played the wedding music. The bride, who was given away by Dr. Endletsberger, was distinctively gowned in a French period frock. Tlio corsage was of ivory embossed chiffon velvet, with a frilled skirt of lace over satin and a largo bow at the back of the waistline. Her Brussels net veil was arranged on the head with sprays of orange blossom and formed a long train. She carried a sheath of St. Joseph lilies. The bridesmaids, Miss Hylas Shepherd, sister cf tho bride, and Miss Thelma Gallagher, wore frocks of eau do nil and pale pink taffeta respectively, patterned with bunches of silver rosebuds and made on long princess lines with cape collars and bows of velvet at tho back of the neckline falling to tho hem of the dresses. They wore felt hats to tono and carried Victorian posy bouquets of pink and lemon flowers. The littlo' flower-girl, Ruua Shepherd, wore a. Victorian frock of love-in-lhe-mist blue taffeta and ■ a Dutch cap of silver and blue tulle. Sho carried a basket of flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. J. Histed, as best man. and Mr. Charles Shepherd, as groomsman. Acting as ushers were Messrs. Kenneth Taylor and Leslie Ure. A reception was afterwards held at the Mount Eden Kiosk. Mrs Shepherd received her guests wearing a frock of wino floral chiffon with a brown, sealskin coat trimmed with black fox fur and a smart black lint. Sho carried an autumntinted bouquet. Mrs. Webb, mother of the bridegroom, wore a gown of autumntinted crepe martista with a large iiat to tone and fox fur. Sho carried a floral bouquet in golden tones.
