PUKEROA TENNIS CLUB.
FIRST ANNUAL DANCE. Blue and gold streamers suspended across tlio ceiling and looped round tho walls made an attractive colour scheme in tho decorations at tho Click Clack Cabaret last evening, when the first annual dance of tho Pukeroa Tennis Club was held. Many pretty frocks were worn, and these looked particularly charming in the glow of the softly-shaded lights. An exhibition dance by pupils from the Margaret O'Connor Dance Studio was greatly appreciated, and popular music was supplied by Bendall's orchestra. Among those present were:—Mrs. G. Hardy, who wore a frock of mimosa yellow georgette with a gold-beaded girdle; Mrs. Gear, black taffeta with a flowered yoke; Miss R. James, lime-green floral moiro taffeta; Miss P. Rawson, sea-green floral taffeta; Miss E. Buckley, black taffeta with a tiered skirt; Miss M. Good,win, mimosa-yellow satin and net; Miss Harris, apple green satin with a frilled skirt; Miss Nancy Staples, lettuce green georgette with a frilled skirt embroidered in pastel-shaded flowers; Miss Montgomery, black embossed chenille georgette with hem of gold lac«; Miss Barnes, apricot satin; Miss Fountain, ankle-length frock of cherry ring velvet; Miss P. Stewart, Nile green georgette; Miss Rae, turquoise blue satin; Miss M. Rae, shell pink frilled taffeta; Miss M. Arns, peach taffeta; Miss T. Ilambly, rose pink georgette; Miss E. Johnson, scarlrt georgctto. Miss C. Wood wore an ivory inoire bcdico and ankle-length skirt of white laco, Miss Edna Ballantyne, sea-green embossed taffeta with ankle-length hem; Miss M. Bartley, lemon georgette; Miss E. White, white georgette with satiu front panel; Miss V. Wells, rose pink satin; Miss Fluvell, turquoise bluo satin bodice with frilled net skirt; Miss Dix, cameo pink taffeta; Miss Wheeler, lacquer red embossed chenille georgette; Mrs. Sayer, burgundy-red ring velvet; Miss M. Harrison, ankle-length frock of mist blue and pink chiffon; Miss P. Birkenhead, white satin with a tiered skirt and blue beaded coatec; Miss Bailey, leaf green georgette; Miss Barry, waterlily green satin; Miss M. McAuley, white satin with hem of silver lacc; • Miss S. Robinson, shell pink net over satin; Miss Jackman, niitumn-toned floral chiffon; Miss Peterson, cam§o pink . satin embroidered in silver; Miss D. MacKay, whito satin and tullo with natural shoulder spray.
