DEATH FROM INJURIES.
SEQUEL TO ACCIDENT. The elderly caretaker of an Avondale brickyard, Mr. James Murray, who received severe injuries to tho heart when he was knocked down by a motor-car on the New North Road, Avondale, on Tuesday evening, died yesterday morning in tho Auckland Hospital. Deceased lived in a hut at tho brickyard. Ho had no relatives in Auckland. AUCKLAND TRAVELLER'S FATE. CAR PLUNGES OYER BANK. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] GISBORNE. Thursday. Tho death occurred in the Cook Hospital this evening of Mr. James Brown, aged 23 years, traveller for an Auckland firm, wh6 was injured when a motor-car in which ho was riding went over a 70 foot bank at Whatatutu last night.
