ELDERLY MAN COLLAPSES.

An elderly man, believed to bo a Mr. Stafford, was removed in a slate of collapse yesterday morning from the Peoplo's Palace, Upper Queen Street, to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance. Ilis condition is serious. The man collapsed outside Iho building a few days ugo and was given a bed. He was found unconscious in his bedroom yesterday morning und was ordered by a doctor to the hospital. It is understood he lias a married daughter at Gisbornc.
