PASSENGER SERIOUSLY INJURED.

GISBOItNE, "Wednesday.
A motor-car plunged over a 70ft. bank at Whatatutu. 30 miles from Gisborne, this evening, and three men who were travelling in it were admitted to the Cook Hospital. One of tho men, a passenger, Mr. James Brown, is in a serious condition. The other two occupants, Mr. Trevor Charles Tong, tho driver, and Mr. Frank Chadwick, suffered minor injuries. Tho three men had been canvassing the district with cutlery.
