o [llY T.ELEGHAPII. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] "WELLINGTON, Tuesday. Tlio injuries received by the well-known halfback of the University senior Rugby football team, E. T. Leys, in the match against Berhamporo 011 Saturday, were more serious than was at first thought Early in the first spell of the match Leys was tackled hard and was rendered unconscious. After receiving attention he continued to play, but later collapsed and was taken to the Wellington Hospital 110 underwent an operation for internal injuries oij Saturday, and on Sunday his condition was reported to be serious. To-day. however the hospital authorities Raid ho was progressing.
