KUMEU FARMERS.
IACTIVITIES OF THE UNION.
A rally of Kumeu farmers was held Jast week, Mr. A. C. Lambert presiding. Mr. 11. Livingstone, official organiser the New Zealand Farmers' Union, outlined the union's activities and stated that the chief executho in Wellington Was doing much good work in dealing with present-day problems. With an outlook for low prices of primary produce, ♦ho only apparent hope for improvement was in the decreased cost of production. This could only eventuate with tree trade within the Empire. Tho matter of derating rural lands was also dealt with. The speaker maintained that main roads should be tho responsibility of t lie users tho roads. '
