TE KUITI TO MAHOENUL PROGRESS OF OPERATIONS. [lit TELEGRAPH. —OWN, CORRESPONDENT.] TE KUITI, Monday. Improvements to tho sections at Maui Highway, between To Kuiti and Piopio and Piopio. and Mahoenui, aro still being carried out by the Waitorno County Council and tho Main Highways Board respectively. Work has been proceeding on tho former stretch for sotno months, and surface improvements and the removal of corners havo been effected. Tho road is in a much better condition than it was .12 months ago. Similar work is being carried out on tho section between Piopio and Mahoenili, and when the. work on this portion of tho road is completed tho route between To Kuiti and Mahoenui, which for somo time lias been very bad in places, will have assumed a' much more satisfactory condition.
