At a conference between the Minister of Labour, Hon. W. A. Veitch, and officers of the Public' Works Department Rotorua, it wrts decided to put 100 men on the Rotorua-Taupo road construction work. Preferqnce will bo given to local men.

The Mayor, Mr. T. Jackson, interviewed tho Minister regarding the work dono by tho Borough Council toward tho development of tho site for an aviation ground. He said a considerable amount of money has been spent by the borough, but tho title was not vested in tho borough.

The Minister promised to place tho matter boforo ilio Minister of Lands.
