SUBURBAN MATCHES.
THE SENIOR COMPETITION. ALBION'S EASY VICTORY. BREESE COMPILES CENTURY. The Auckland City and Suburban Cricket Association's senior grade matches were advanced a further stago on Saturday, when the third series in the eecond round was concluded. Albion's three-point win over Ponsonby has left tho new club still within one point of Green Lane. Albion scored 168 in its first innings, while Ponsonby scored 67 and 68. Albion's easy win was the surprise of the season.
Green Lane had little difficulty in beating Ellerßlic, which, after making a good showing in tho fin,t innings, made only 115 in the second. Ellerslie batted three short. Green Lane had compiled 181 for tho loss of four wickets, and thus secured a three-point win. Honours of the day went to L. Brcese, who compiled 104 retired for Harbour Board against W.Y.M.I.
