GOLF.
THE MAUNGAKIEKIE CLUB. OPENING OF THE SEASON. Tine official opening of the Titirangi links for the season was held by the Maungakiekie Golf Club on Saturday under ideal conditions. There was a large attendance of members and friends and the links were 111 splendid order. During the afternoon members and friends were the guests of the president. Mr. W. J. A. Thomson, and the club captain, Mr. 11. M. Rogerson, at afternoon tea. Between 70 and 80 players entered for the mixed bogey foursomes, which were played during the afternoon. The winners were R. M. Georgo and Mrs. C. Robinson (10), 1 up. Other good cards handed in were:—S. Huuter and Miss Churton (11). 1 down; W. J. Rodger and Mrs. G. L. Taylor (14). 1 down; C. Robinson and Miss Laurence (14), 2 down; A. V. Peace and Mrs. O'Leary (9), 2 down: W. J. A. Thomson and Mrs. J. C. Findlay (8), 3 down: T. H. Chapman and Mrs. Bradman (14), 3 down: R. R. McCrystal and Miss McGlashan (14), 4 down; H. Brinsdeu and Mrs. Biinsdcn (10), 4 down.
