REUNION OF SHIPMATES.
BRCIDICK CASTLE'S ARRIVAL. A reunion of the shipmates of the ship Brodick Castle, which arrived at Auckland from London on March 23, 1376, will be held a 6 the tearooms of the Farmers' Trading Company this morning. Mr. W. Richardson, of Papakura, wiio was the ship's baker, will preside. The voyage of the Brodick . Castle,, which carried about 270 passengers and immigrants, was not '.u uneventful one. The ship, whicli was under the command of Captain Thyne, left London on October 7, 1875, and was disabled off the Bay of Biscay. She was towed into Plymouth to refit. The ship left Plymouth on December 14, the passage to New Zealand taking 99 days. The captain had to contend with some opposition from a section- of the crew at one stage of the -trip. On the ship s arrival at Auckland those of the crew who had behaved in a mutinous manner were handed over to the police.
