EMPIRE FARMERS' TOUR.

DAY AT ASHBURTON. [by telegraph.—press association.] A'SHBURTON, Saturday. The Empire farmers who arc touring the Dominion were welcomed at Ashburton to-day by the Mayor, the county chairman and the president of the termers' Union. After visiting Mr. H. F. Nicoll's "stud farm, they attended the Mayficld Show. Speakers "at the luncheon at the show included Mr. W. Nosworthy and Mr. T. D. Burnett, M.P. The visitors left in the evening for "Wellington. Mayfield was the only show in the itinerary.
