NAVAL STOKER HURT.
ACCIDENT .AT FIRE DRILL. A stoker from H.M.S. Philomel, Leslie Roberts, aged 19, received internal injuries when he slipped and fell beneath a fire manual, tfit-h which practice, was being carried out about three o'clock yesterday afternoon. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital, where his condition last evening was reported to be fairly serious.
