LORDS PASS NEW BILL.

MORE WOMEN TO BENEFIT. (Received November 28, 5.35 p.m.) British Wireless. RUGBY, Nov. 27. The second reading of tho Widows' Pensions Bill was passed by the House of Lords last evening. By the most important provisions of the measure pensions of 10s a week are granted to widows (over tho age of 55) of insured men who died or attained the ago of 70 before 1926. Under the 1925 Act grants of pensions to widows of insured men were not made retrospective. The new bill will add 500,000 to the number of widows who will receive pensions.
