ROYAL YACHT SQUADRON.
The 'Royal Now Zealand Yacht Squadron will open its season to-morrow,, when a cruising race for yachts and launches will be held to Kawau, and also a harbour race for class M. The keel yachts will start from King's Wharf at 2.30. the launches at 245 and the M claBS at 8 o clock. The entries are as follows:—Keel yachts: Thrlma, Ariki, Ludye Wiima lUngi. KoUn. Windward. POSTPONEMENT OF OPENING.

Tho Tauranga Yacht and Power-Boat Club has postponed tho official opening of the season to December JI. A procession of boats will be followed by sailing and launch races. Later the fleco will proceed to Mount Mauntfanui. where a dance will bo held A sailing committee, comprising Messrs. B. P, Andrews, L. Oliver. A. Stewart. W. Waters, P. Simmonds and L. Hammond, has been appointea. Mr. P, Simmonds Ims been appointed liandicapper for eeven-footerß and Messrs. W. J. Stevens and H. Thomas iiandicappera for secondclass yachts. Eigh* trophies already have been promised for the wason'fl racing*
