FARM ANIMALS KILLED.

MAN STUNNED ON ROAD

SYDNEY, Nov. 23. A disastrous hailstorm between Wauchope and Port Macquarie ruined crops, stripped the foliage from trees, and killed sheep and poultry. The hail was as large as hen's eggs. Pieces of ice like saucers also fell.

A. man who was working with a road gang was stunned by a jagged lump of ice. Two men were sheltering under a tree when the hail became so heavy that I hc.v decided to find fresh refuge. They bad just moved when the tree was struck by lightning and reduced to matchwood. The hail w?is piled up 18 inches deep in many places.
