COMBINED COLLEGES.

The annual dance of the pupils of the combined Sacred Heart and St Mary's Colleges' was held in the Manchester Unity Oddfellows' Hall last evening. There was a particularly large attendance of pupils of both schools, and also of old boys and girls, who danced during the latter part of the ovening, the earlier part being given to the younger ones. Besides modern steps, a special set of lancers was danced by the young girls of St. Mary's College, this being very picturesque and effective. Entertaining items were also given by some of Miss Daphne Knight's pupils. Tlie music for the dancing was provided by Clyde Howley's Famous Internationals'. Acting on the committee were:—Mrs. Buxton, who wore black gporgettp embroidered with red beads; Airs. C.'H. Drysdale, black georgette with deep hem of pastel Jace and black and silver beaded bridge coat; Mrs. Roberson, black satin and silver lace; Mrs. Emmet t Kelly, pervanche-blue embossed chenille georgette; Mrs. Moynahan, black georgette; Miss D. Knight, black ring velvet/with rhinestone embroideries; Miss Mavis Grevatt, peach taffeta frock; Miss P. Flynn, >Nile-green georgette; Miss Grace, flame georgette with crystal embroideries; Miss Locke, rose-pink chiffon. Among those who were present were: — Mrs. A. Snedden, who wore navy blue georgette - t Mrs. G. Casey, Wedgwoodblue georgette: Miss Kiely, powder-blue satin; Miss I. Kiely, peach lace; Miss A. Wilkins, lacquer-red chiffon with diamante girdle; Miss L. liill, black crepe de soie lemon satin, shoulder bow; Miss M.' Hill, amber panne velvet trimmed with coloured beads.

Coral lame bodice and skirt of rose georgette; Miss D.
