LIGHTS SEEN AT SEA.
THE REPORT FROM AWANUI. NO FURTHER INFORMATION. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Thursday. From inquiries made at the Marine Department to-day it was learned that no further information regarding lights seen at sea by the Awanui postmaster early last evening has been received. The opinion expressed that the lights aro more likely to bo due to a natural phenomenon than to ship's rockets, as rockets used by ships give a white flame, and the lights reported were red.
