MORRINSVILLE BAND.
Ley telegraph.—-*o\vn. correspondent.] MORRINSVILLE. Friday There was a good attendance at the annual meeting of tho Morrinsville Muni cipal Band. The annual report stated that although marked progress had been made the band had been unfortunate in losing the services, through departure from the district, of seven of its best members, including tho conductor, Mr. L. Buchan. Tho band's working account showed a loss of £l3 lis lOd. The following officers were elected Bandmaster, Mr G. Large; secretary, Mr. W. Reason; chairman, the Rev. F. W. Wilkes; auditor. Mr. W. T. ,Osborne; bandsmen on management committee, Messrs. Large. C. Davidson and Renshaw. Eulogistic reference was made to the work of Mr. L. Buchan, the late bandmaster.
