[nv TELEGHAPH. —OWN COUHESPONDENT.] DUNEDIN, Wednesday.
We still maintain that the promise of the Government and the public of New Zealand on bind settlement before the men went to the Front has not been carried out," declared Mr. 11. L. Paterson, president of the Dunedin Returned Soldiers' Association, to the members of the Otago Land Board this afternoon. The association asked that preference should bo given to returned soldiers in the subdivision of the Benmoro afforestation area of 12,000 acres, which is being made, into three or four grazing runs. The board promised to forward the representations to Wellington.
