INFLUENZA CASES.

MAUI POMARE PATIENTS. Fourteen of the 27 influenza patients from the steamer Maui Pomare were able to leave their beds yesterday. They include all the European patients. Four of the Islanders, on the other hand, ara reported to be still in a serious condition. The nurse who contracted influenza is progressing slowly. The work of overhauling the refrigerating machinery on the steamer and the minor repairs of a general nature are proceeding satisfactorily. There is no possibility, however, of the steamer taking her departure to-day, and her sailing time has consequently been advanced to 11 a.m. on Monday. Seamen have been engaged to take the places of the men who are indisposed.
