The attack was made just after daylight to-day, when the car with money for the payment of wages had entered Hudson Street, which was deserted except for a milk van. The bandits, iD two cars, camo from tho rear, and waited until the milkman had returned from the delivery of an order. They then confronted the man with fheir guns, and warned him to stand still in silence.
Then the bandit's car was driven swiftly forward, and run in ahead of tho bank car, which was forced to the kerb.
The robbers fired several volleys, which smashed tho plate-glass window in front of the armoured car and wounded the driver who fell back in his seat.
