MOTORS IN COLLISION.
THREE VEHICLES INVOLVED.
INJURIES TO FIVE PERSONS.

Three motor-cars were involved in a collision which occurred between the racecourse aud To Kuiti at 5.45 last evening. One car, driven by Mr. F. E. West, of Taumaruiiul, struck ouo driven by Mr. Joe Hoe wliilo trying to pass it. Mr. Hoe's car was thrown off the road, Mr. West's car collided head-on with a third car, which was coming in the opposite direction, driven by Mr. Inncs Jones.
Mr. West and the four occupants of his car,.who were returning from tho races, wero all injured. Ihcir names
arc Mr. Sam Sarah, Taumarunui, severe injuries to head and other minor injuries. Mr. Cecil A. Boles, Taumarunui, injuries to head and face, cuts about head and arms. Miss Esrno Henderson, aged 18, a ter of Mr. 'J. Hcndersou, fractured collarbone and minor injuries. Mr. Jim Vujicb, severo cuts on head and right arm. Mr. West had his right arm badly cut by broken glass. This morning all tho injured werfl reported to be making satisfactory progress. The cars driven bv Mr. West and Mr. Inncs Jones wero badly damaged.
