THE SEVENTH DAY.
Sir,—l notice in your issue of the 261 h inst. you (Inscribe how (he night was disturbed with the cries for help from (he Little Theatre Society's rooms in Wyndham Street, and the consequent mistaking of their rehearsal of "Danger" for the piteous cries from some poor woman. While pleased to see how ready were the gentlemen returning from church to go to (he assistance of tlm " victim," one cannot but feel, as ;i churchman, that it is a pity this society, to whom we are indebted for such splendid productions, must chooso the Sabbath to prepare its work. It, must occur to many that (he lack of support shown to the Church is not surprising when such diversions offer on a Sunday evening. If a pastime must interfere with one's devotional hour then that pastime should be abolished. Churchman*.
