PLUNKET SOCIETY.
TWO DONATIONS RECEIVED.
Two gifts to the Karitane Hospital and Plunket Society were reported at the monthly meeting of the society. In response to an appeal by the president, Mrs, W. H. Parkes, at the annual meeting for fin endowment fund as a solution of the financial difficulty with which the society has been faced, Mr. E. F. Warren, as trustee in the Hunter, Shaw Estate, has jjeneixmsly given £SOO to commence such fund.
Among recent visitors to the Karitans Hospital and the Plunket headquarters were Lady .Myers and her family, who expressed great satisfaction at tlio work carried on at both institutions. They have now donated a handsome carpet in furtherance of tho schema for refurnishing the living room at tlio hospital.
