PRESENTATIONS.
A function was held at the Baptist Tabernacle last evening in honour of Miss Nellie Kendon, who is returning to missionary work in China after being on furlough. Miss Kendon spoko of her work in connection with the China Inland Mission School at Chefoo, where she has been acting-principal. Mr. S. Barry presented Miss Kendon with a gift in token of the esteem in which she is held by her friends at the tabernacle. Rev. C. P. Morris, vicar of Holy Trinity Cuurch, Dargaville, for the past three years,. »nd who is now under transfur to Waiuku, preached his farewell sermon at Dargaville on Sunday. At the conclusion, Mr, G. Dunn, people's warden, presented Mr. Morris, on behalf of the parishioners, fith a travelling rug and set, of ivory-backed hairbrushes. Mr. Dunn spoke of the good work of tho vicar during his term in charge of the parish, and of the affection which he had inspired among the people. Mrs. Morris, who has been president of the Ladies' Guild since she has been in Dargaville, was presented with a pair of copper vases by members of tho guild.
