THE RAETIHI CLUB. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] RAETIHI. Friday. Tho Ractihi Bowling Club opened its season this week before an enthusiastic gathering of players. Visitors from the Ohakune Club were welcomed by tho pre* sident, Mr. F. Gibson, and good wishes expressed that the various clubs in the district have a successful season. Tho president called on Mrs. Gibson to play the first bowl, after which play was carried on by the various rinks.

AMATEUR BILLIARDS

DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIP.

Although later in the season than usual the amateur billiard championship of New Zealand will bo commenced on Monday, November 5, in the now clubrooms of tho Auckland Sports Club. Entries will close on Friday, November 2, and tho draw will be published later.
